Every woman in the parish is automatically a member of the Altar
Society. Members are encouraged to pay dues and attend regular
monthly meetings, held the fourth Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
at St. Francis Hall.

When a member pays her dues, her name is assigned to a circle. There
are twelve circles, one for each month, and each circle is headed by a
chair and a co-chair.

Each circle is in charge of a different month of the calendar year. During
that month, the circle chair, with the support of her circle, is in charge of
coffee and donuts after each Mass one weekend, providing cookies for
the Cottonwood Manor's monthly birthday party and providing
refreshments for the monthly meeting.

Circles also provide food and/or people for various parish functions/
fundraisers throughout the year, such as funeral dinners, bake sales,
pot luck dinners, the Czech Mass reception, the parish picnic, the Czech
Festival Booth, and the Arts & Crafts Festival.

The Altar Society is a great way of meeting other ladies in the parish,
and it gives you the chance to be part of the growth and future of
Catholic community.
