What is SCRIP? You TRADE your cash for an EQUAL AMOUNT in gift certificates from any of a variety of stores. The SCRIP committee has purchased these gift certificates at a discount. We make our profit by keeping that discount. This fundraiser costs you nothing! You actually earn a rebate toward tuition credit, given in August and January! This is our only fundraiser, but it has incredible potential! If we could get 300 families from the school and parish involved, we could make over $80,000 a year!! What a difference that would make in our school. And it doesn't cost you anything! Where does the money go? The money goes to St. John's P.T.C. for educational materials for our parish school. Since starting the program, we have purchased, or helped purchase, computers, an intercom system, a new copier, text books and a new dishwasher for the school and parish. If you have a student at St. John's school, half of the profits from your SCRIP purchases go into the Tuition Reimbursement Plan (TRIP). TRIP money may be used by your family toward tuition and fees, or you may pass it back to the school. This year, 69 families will receive a tuition rebate in August, some over $200.00! How do I get SCRIP certificates? SCRIP certificates from Food Outlet, Homeland, Blockbuster, Chili's, Lowes, Kohls, Central OK Oil & Lube, KFC, Payless Shoes, Pizza Hut, Staples, Wendy's, Braums, Don Serapio's, Harry's, Las Fajitas, Cafe Brulee, and Primo's are available after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and after every mass on weekends. A list of national vendors is included with this information. Some national SCRIP is available on Fridays after school. All other national SCRIP can be ordered throughout the school year.
